Happy New Year
Writing a report no one cares about.
2025 was, in terms of being a writer a good year for me. I had two books come out with two different publishers. That’s a big deal! There was plenty of other stuff to be thankful for, family, friends, continued good health etc. as well.
In 2025 I was able to connect with fellow writers like Joe Reid, Tessa Wegert, Pat Dunn, Marcy Macrae and Roberta Gately to name a few. A lot of them offered advice and feedback or were just there to share a drink and talk about writing. I worked with three great editors in 2025, Megha Parekh, Rachel Slatter and Clarence Haynes, and a slew of copy editors who helped keep my writing honest. Of course my good friend CME who sacrificed her reading time to help convince the rest of your that I know how to spell and have some concept of grammar.
I was also lucky enough to meet new friends who reviewed my books and recommended them on InstaGram and of course fans. When I first sat down to write a novel, it never occurred to me that I would ever have fans. There is something, indescribably cool about interacting with someone who likes what you write enough to contact you and talk about it.
